About Me:

My name is Joe Williams, I'm a storyboard artist. I have an MFA in Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

I'm a digital artist, primarily working from my WACOM CINTIQ 27GHD using Photoshop and Storyboard Pro. I also work from an iPad Pro using Procreate.

I’m a Waȟpéthuŋwaŋ Dakota and an enrolled member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate, born and raised on the Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota. I served 20 years in the South Dakota Army National Guard, serving three tours in Iraq (OIF II ’04-’05), Afghanistan (OEF ‘10-’11), and Kuwait (Operation Spartan Shield ‘16). I served as a cannon crew member my first 10 years, and a Civil Affairs Generalist my second 10 years, retiring in 2018.
